Chankanaab Park partially re-opened last week. Visitors can now access the main entrance area, lagoon and beach. Construction work continues on and around the dolphin attraction, but they hope to re-open by the end of this week too.

The US dollar may have had bumpy ride recently, but it has gained value rapidly against the Mexican peso this year. Data from Yahoo! Finance shows it almost reaching a 5 year high.

I wasn't sure I'd done the right thing. Accepting an invitation to be walked on in the name of massage therapy frankly seemed a little odd. Thankfully my therapist was the consummate professional, checking my health record before explaining clearly how the massage would proceed.

A white marlin weighing 33 kg (72.6 lbs) won top prize in Cozumel's 34th Annual Fishing Tournament earlier this month. The prize fish was caught on the second day of the competition by the boat Free Zone, captained by Peter Iwaskiewych of Belize.

A number of exhibitions, an auction and a new website are being launched by the art community in Cozumel this May and June. The Humane Society of Cozumel is holding its 9th Annual Art Exhibition and Auction on June 30 at the Hotel Casa Mexicana - a portion of the proceeds benefits their animal shelter.
