Atlas Legal, a US conference organizer, will be holding a 'summit' for the real estate market in Playa del Carmen, near Cozumel, next month.
They have held other property events in Mexico in the past, but this is the first that will focus on the Mexican Caribbean. |

The day remembers the Grito de Dolores, a call for Mexicans to rebel against the Spanish, made by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in 1810. |

Local Mayan history was remembered and honored at a traditional ceremony in Cozumel last Wednesday.
The Saása´Al Símil - 'Plea for Forgiveness' - took place on the terrace at the Quintana Roo Park. The ceremony was conducted by a Mayan priest and attended by Gustavo Ortega Joaquín, the island's Mayor. |
