Islanders are spending the weekend making preparations for Hurricane Dean. The category 4 storm is currently near Jamaica in the Caribbean and will probably arrive to the Mexican coast on Monday night. |

Hurricane Dean passed by about 130 miles (210 km) to the south of Cozumel last night, bringing rain and wind to the island but with minimal effects. Locals in Cozumel estimate that wind speeds were not much higher than 60 miles per hour (100kmh). |

The launch of the Denver Bronco's 2008 calendar raised more than $15,000 for curing breast cancer, said Teresa Shear, director of the US football team's cheerleaders last week.
