The Mexican homebuilding industry is "booming" said Fitch Ratings, in a report released at the end of last month.
The New York and London based financial experts said that the Mexican government has helped the sector and that further growth could be expected. They reported that housing is one of the country's most "dynamic industries", transformed over the past few years by a developing Mexican mortgage market. |

The beaches in the north of the island this weekend play host to Viento y Mar Cozumel 2007, a national Mexican windsurfing and kiteboarding competition.

Important lessons were learnt in the 2007 turtle nesting season, said Christopher González Baca, Cozumel's Deputy Director for the Environment last week.
