Backpackers and other tourists on a budget will be pleased to know Cozumel has a new hostel. 'Hostelito' opened downtown in February. It is clean, modern and costs only US $12 per night to sleep in their brand new dormitory room.
Each bunk bed has its own large and secure locker, big enough for scuba diving equipment. The dormitory is mixed, but there are separate male and female showers - completely new and spotlessly clean.
Owner-operator Deyner Jimenez also has a double room and a room that sleeps up to 6 available above the dorm.
