Canadian airline, WestJet, said earlier this month that they will start new seasonal flights from Toronto to Cozumel this winter.

From December 10, 2009, the carrier will fly twice a week from Toronto to Cozumel non-stop.

WestJet spokesperson, Chris Avery, said, "We remain confident that in spite of the current economic conditions, WestJet's unsurpassed value and our status as Canada's preferred airline will see old friends and new guests alike flying with us this winter."

The airline also took the opportunity to announce a new Calgary to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo route, starting in November.

The latest new flights demonstrate the airline's continuing commitment to Mexico.

In June, they announced 21 other Mexican routes to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.
