52 stunning contestants from the Miss Spain 2009 beauty pageant were in Cozumel earlier this month, as part of the competition held in Mexico this year. They took advantage of the island's own natural beauty for photo and video shoots. |
Cozumel's Mayor, Juan Carlos González Hernández, met the girls from Spain at the island's Quintana Roo Park.

He said that the visit by the participants was a "magnificent opportunity" to promote Cozumel as a tourist destination in Spain and Europe. González later presented a bouquet of flowers to Patricia Rodríguez, Miss Spain 2008, who was traveling with the group. Andrés Cid, organizer of the event, said that the reception in Cozumel had been "marvellous" and that the images would be seen by millions of people around the world. |
The gorgeous group later visited Chankanaab Park for one last photo session and time to relax and have fun.
