If you're visiting Cozumel but flying to Cancun, these private air charters are by far the quickest and most convenient way to get to the island.
The small aircraft fly between Cancun airport and Cozumel airport in around 20 minutes.
You also have the most astonishing views as you fly over the turquoise Caribbean Sea. A wonderful way to arrive to the island and start your vacation.
The alternative is a ground transfer to Playa del Carmen and then the ferry to the island, which can take many many hours*.
If you're landing in Cancun after 7pm, then flying is usually the only way you can guarantee getting to the island the same day too. (The latest ferries normally depart at 10pm and getting through Cancun airport and transferring to the ferry can typically take 2½ hours.)

* The ground transfer from Cancun airport to the ferry can take 1-1½ hours; the ferries depart every 1-2 hours; and the crossing takes about 45 minutes. So, depending on your luck with connections, the total transfer time by ferry can take anything between about 2 hours and 4½ hours. By air it is around 20 minutes. If you are connecting from an inbound flight to Cancun then we will contact you to agree the exact time you want the flight to Cozumel. Usually 60 minutes is enough time to disembark from your inbound flight, clear immigration and customs, collect your luggage, and transfer to the private air terminal. However, this is not our responsibility and if you are delayed and don't get to the private air terminal on time your flight may be cancelled if an aircraft is not still available. We and the air charter company will do everything possible to fly you at a later time if we can but if the flight is cancelled due to your inbound flight being delayed we will refund you 50%. If you are concerned about this we recommend booking the flight later to give yourself more time.
Not all the aircraft can fly in the dark and Cozumel airport does not always open late, so they may only be available to fly up until about 1 hour before sunset. If you will need a later flight then please contact us for options before booking.
