Passenger Ferry

Two ferry companies operate the route between Cozumel and Playa del Carmen on the mainland: Winjet (orange) and Ultramar (yellow). The crossing takes about 40 minutes and departs from the Ferry Pier downtown.

Between the two companies, they have departures from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel from 7am to 11pm, and from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen from 5.45am to 10pm.

Ferries leave on the hour, every hour, with an extra service at 6.30pm from Cozumel and at 7.30pm from Playa del Carmen.

Cancun Airport can be hectic, especially when several flights arrive close together, so relax after you land in Mexico and enjoy the peace of mind of a pre-booked airport transfer to the Cozumel ferry.
