In an interview with Mexican news agency, Notimex, earlier this week, Jaime Valenzuela, General Manager of Mayair, said they are also negotiating with major travel agencies and working with American and European airlines.

Mayair will start flying the Cozumel-Cancun route this October, with 33 passenger aircraft at a price of 400 pesos ($38) per person, each way. They are also planning a route that will connect Cozumel directly with the famous Mayan archaeological site of Chichen Itza with a flight time of 38 minutes. |
Valenzuela said more new flights should also begin this year from Cancun to Belize City, Merida, Chetumal, Campeche, Palenque and Tikal in Guatemala.
