Shady palm trees and white sand await you.

Four different packages are available, all include the same buffet lunch, open bar and use of all facilities on the island, but they have different transport options:

Package 1: Includes ground transport by taxi from downtown to the north of Cozumel (45 min. each way) and the short 10 minute ferry across to Passion Island. *GREAT FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS*

Package 2: Includes self-drive Jeep transport from downtown to the north of Cozumel (45 min. each way) and the short 10 minute ferry across to Passion Island. This option also includes an optional free kayak tour at Passion Island. *GREAT FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS*

Package 3: Includes just the short 10 minute ferry across to Passion Island, great if you have a rental car to get to the north of Cozumel on your own.

Package 4: Includes transport by Twister speedboat directly from a downtown pier to Passion Island (minimum 10 people, 25 minute ride each way).

Passion Island by Jeep
The adventurous way to get there, by off-road Jeep!

If you're visiting on a cruise ship then package 1 or 2 is likely to be the best option for you. If your ship docks downtown you can walk to the meeting point in minutes, or if you dock at one of the other cruise terminals you'll need to take a taxi to the meeting point, it takes about 5 minutes.

NOTE: Carnival has an exclusive contract with Passion Island which prevents us from offering any of the packages to Carnival passengers. RCCL has an exclusive contract with Passion Island for just the Twister package, which prevents us from offering package 4 to RCCL passengers. We think these cruise line policies are very unfair as it means Carnival and RCCL passengers can't shop around and get the best deal, but unfortunately it is beyond our control.

Passion Island shore excursion
Browse the cute souvenir shops for original gifts.

If you opt for the Jeep tour option, you drive your own stick-shift Jeep Wrangler in a caravan, with a guide leading the way, arriving to the island after a bumpy adventure. You'll also have an optional free kayaking tour included at Passion Island when you get there.

Passion Island excursion
Snooze or just hang about in shady hammocks.

And if you have a group of 10 people or more then the Twister speedboat is guaranteed to bring excitement to your day, this fast boat will hurl you along and perform 360 degree turns at high speed. Hold on to your breakfast!

Whatever package you choose, when you arrive you'll have a full 3½ hours on Passion Island to make the most of everything it has to offer.

Isla Passion Cozumel
Delicious buffet lunch and open bar included.

“Lots of fun for our family!”

We booked the Passion Island excursions for our cruise stop on Cozumel. There were seven of us - four adults and three boys ages 14, 12 and 10. We took a cab to the meeting point and were happy to see our guide - Felipe - get there about 35 minutes early (we were early too!). We got into three Jeeps - Felipe in one and the rest of us in the other two - for our trip "over a bumpy road' to the boat launch for Passion Island. We stopped at a small supermarket on the way to get a couple of bottles of water and off we went.

Well...the bumpy road turned out to be about a 30 minute 4-wheel drive adventure over the beach and through the jungle. We put the Jeeps through their paces and had a ball. I own a Jeep Wrangler and I have never driven it half as hard as I did this one. Felipe led us over some really fun terrain and my son-in-law and grandsons loved the experience. My wife and daughter ....well....not as much as they weren't driving.

We finally arrived smiling and dusty to the boat launch. After about a 10 minute wait, the boat arrived for the 1 mile crossing to the island.

Passion Island is beautiful. Wonderful palapas, lots of beach toys and a wonderful beach. The food was great as was the rum punch and the cold beer. The guacamole was wonderful.

We spent a couple of hours here just having fun in the water and on the beach. Then back to Cozumel, into the Jeeps and back to town.

We all had a great time and would recommend this to other families.
