But, thats what the media does: it makes bold assertions, posts sensational headlines and makes claims that may have some basis in fact, but are often quite ridiculous.

18 cruise ships will bring some 40 thousand tourists to Cozumel next week, says Por Esto! newspaper today. It is hoped that they will spend as much as 3 million US dollars, but the paper points out this will only really benefit the biggest businesses on the island.
