This happens because the United States and Canada change to Daylight Savings Time before Mexico and is especially important for cruise passengers, as some ships stay on the time of their United States homeport, even when they arrive to Cozumel. |

Last week saw a massive seafront finale to Cozumel Carnival for 2013. Thousands of enthusiastic tourists and locals were out on "Fat Tuesday" to dance in the streets and watch the colorful, musical parade. The Carnival 2013 King and Queen, danced non-stop on their float, waving to the crowds that lined the island's seafront road downtown. |

The director of Cozumel airport, Simón Salazar, announced, last week, that some $240,000 is being invested in improvements at the terminal. He said the money will be spent on remodeling passenger arrival and departure areas, for the greater comfort of visitors to the island. |
