New Cozumel Hotels Hope To Boost Tourism

Two major new hotel names will soon be coming to Cozumel in a move that is hoped to boost tourism on the island.

AMResorts announced, last month, that they will be bringing their signature Secrets and Sunscape brands to the island by completely refurbishing several existing resorts.

Secrets hotels are aimed mainly at couples and Sunscape at family and friends, both brands already have hotels on the Mexican Caribbean coast nearby.

Clocks Change In Cozumel

Cozumel will put the clocks back an hour tonight, along with the rest of Mexico.

However, the clocks don't change in the U.S.A. and Canada until November 4, 2012, so next week the island will be one hour behind CST and two hours behind EST.

This is especially important for cruise ship passengers, as their ship time may be an extra hour ahead of local island time when they arrive.
