Cozumel Children Free Turtles

 

A group of children in Cozumel helped release some 700 baby turtles, last week, as part of an island education program.

The budding young conservationists were invited by the municipality's Marine Turtle Protection Committee, to learn about the important work they do on the island's beaches.

Cozumel Airport Numbers Up 10.2%

Cozumel airport operator, ASUR, announced, on Tuesday, that the number of passengers through the island terminal was up 10.2% in September 2011 compared with the same month last year.

The increase was driven by a leap in the number of domestic passengers flying to the island.
