Fly Toronto-Cozumel Direct

Canadian airline, WestJet, said earlier this month that they will start new seasonal flights from Toronto to Cozumel this winter.

From December 10, 2009, the carrier will fly twice a week from Toronto to Cozumel non-stop.

52 stunning contestants from the Miss Spain 2009 beauty pageant were in Cozumel earlier this month, as part of the competition held in Mexico this year.

Forbes Recommends Cozumel

Top American magazine publisher, Forbes, said last week that there are "no bullets on the beaches" and "you can still find cheap, safe vacations" in Mexico.

They went on to specifically recommend Cozumel as one of the best places to visit.

In an article on their website, Forbes pointed out that while drug violence exists in some areas of Mexico, the tourist areas remain secure.
