Delicious local food is being promoted in a competition to find Cozumels favorite recipes.
The contest is open to locals over the age of 50, in an effort preserve and revive traditional family dishes. |
Organized by the local government and "Hábitat", a Mexican Federal social development program, cash prizes will be awarded to the top three family favorites from a pot of at least 6,000 pesos ($570).
The entries will be judged by a panel of professional chefs on the basis of taste, presentation and originality.
