Cozumel Island will host a National Kiteboarding competition from the 17th to the 19th of November 2007, to kick off the official 2007/2008 Mexican Kiteboarding Tour.
The best riders from across Mexico will battle waves and wind around the island, providing a spectacular event for all to see for free. |
Local pro kiteboard instructor, Raul de Lille, is one of the event organizers. He explained that the wind almost always blows in at least 1 of 5 spots around the island, offering some of the best conditions in the world for this fast growing new sport.
