On Saturday night, the first Carnival Parade will pass along the seafront.
People line the streets, dancing with the performers and catching the gifts that are showered upon them. |
Sunday and Monday nights see more parades along the island's promenade, before the grand finale on Fat Tuesday night.
The last seafront pass by the frenzied Carnaveleros is always a spectacular affair, with the fiesta continuing into the early hours.
