Find the top 5 questions people asked us about Cozumel in 2017, and, of course, our answers. Happy New Year!

1) What's the best thing to do in Cozumel?

We offer more than 50 different tours and activities, so the answer really depends on what your interests are: from adventure, to culture, to snorkeling, to relaxing and more. We're local experts and know the island inside-out, so if you let us know a bit more about you and your group we're always happy to make personal recommendations, or, you can browse all the options on our website here.

2) Do I need a passport to visit Cozumel?

If you arrive by air then yes. If you arrive by cruise then maybe, it depends on a number of factors and you should check with your cruise line and/or your nearest Mexican embassy or consulate. If you arrive by ferry no passport is required (but you will probably need one to get into Mexico first!)

3) Should I bring Mexican pesos?

If you're visiting on a cruise for one day and have US dollars then that will be fine. Everywhere in Cozumel accepts US dollar bills, but they won't accept coins, so bring extra $1 bills to make things easier. Generally the exchange rate is good if you pay in US dollars, but if you are staying for more than a day it may work out cheaper to bring pesos, buy them here, or take them out of an ATM. It all depends on the exchange rate you get and it's worth shopping around. Remember, if you plan on using your credit or debit card in Mexico you must let you card issuer know before you leave, or they may block transactions and leave you in an awkward situation!

4) How safe is Cozumel?

Cozumel is very safe, it has a much lower rate of crime than many US cities and the people are friendly and helpful. Tourists agree and a recent survey found that over 97% of visitors feel safe in Cozumel.

5) Can I get discounts on Cozumel tours?
