Cozumel time zone

The new time zone in the south-east of Mexico means time differences after this weekend will be, well... different!

The clocks will go forward one hour for Mexican Daylight Saving Time this Sunday at 2am in most of the rest of Mexico, but not in the new South-East Time Zone where Cozumel is located.

This means Cozumel will be back on the same time as Mexico City and the rest of the Yucatan Peninsula from that moment.

Cozumel clocktower

Relative to the U.S., Cozumel and the south-east of Mexico will continue to be on U.S. Central Time until October 31, 2015 (during U.S. Daylight Saving Time) and then change to U.S. Eastern Time from November 1, 2015 to March 12, 2016 (during U.S. winter time).

Find official information about the time and zones in Mexico on the Mexican Meteorological Center's website here in Spanish.
