Healthy Bite To Eat

El Perro Verde - or Green Dog - is Cozumel's newest downtown café.

Once you stop laughing at the papier-mâché canine greeting you from above the doorway, step inside for a scrumptious home-made vegetarian menu.

As well as an artistic sense of humor and great food, this eco-eatery offers the best chai on the island and a space to relax and make new friends.

Quirky Mexican-Dutch Art

A quirky exhibition by Dutch artist of international renown, Jackie Sleper, opened at the Island Museum last week.

The artworks are inspired by, and dedicated to, Mexico and the Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo.

Cozumel is the second location for Dulce y Amargo or 'Sweet and Bitter'.

The island exhibition forms part of a Mexican tour by the artist throughout 2008 and 2009.

Enterprises In Paradise

The second in a series about successful island businesses run by non-Mexicans.

This article looks at the Hotel Flamingo, a fashionable boutique hotel in downtown Cozumel.

The hotel was in dire need of some tender loving care back in 1996, when Tom Fryer bought it to live his island dream.

After making the move from his home in the San Francisco Bay area of California, Tom had to work hard to build it up to the successful business he has today.
