Delta Airlines will start a new non-stop route between Detroit and Cozumel on December 19, 2009.
Carlos Santos, spokesman for Delta, told This is Cozumel that the new route will fly round-trip every Saturday.
Delta will also start new routes from Indianapolis and Milwaukee to Cancun, as they expect business and tourist demand for flights to increase again following the health scare in Mexico.
The airline said it has changed some of the aeroplanes that will be used in order to save fuel and keep prices competitive.
