Major British airline and tour operator, First Choice/ Thomson, confirmed today that their flights from the United Kingdom to Cozumel are scheduled to start next week.

The first summer season flights, planned for the beginning of the month, were postponed due to the flu outbreak.

First Choice/Thomson will operate weekly and fortnightly flights from London Gatwick and Manchester in the United Kingdom, to Cozumel and Cancun in Mexico, through to the end of October.

The vacation company advertises Cozumel as "the perfect tropical destination for parents looking to spend some quality time with the kids".

They offer flights to Mexico and vacation packages for British tourists at El Cozumeleño and the Holiday Village White Sands resorts in Cozumel.

Together with their subsidiary brands, they look after more than 7.5 million customers, travelling on more than four million vacations around the world each year.
