The beautiful colonial style façade to the building is a survivor from the glory days of the Yucatan Peninsula, when the basis of the economy was the trading of henequen - a type of agave plant whose fiber was used to make rope and twine.

Today the property is managed by the Miranda Morales family. They have carefully reconditioned the dining room and made the most of the high ceilings and wide corridors. Now they share with their customers this wonderful old home.
