Summit League Champions, the Golden Eagles women’s basketball team, from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are playing in Cozumel this weekend.
As part of a Labor Day weekend basketball tour, they will hold a basketball clinic for local children and play against Mexico's state-select Merida team on Saturday.

The team's head coach, Jerry Finkbeiner, said, "we’re looking forward to spending two days in Cozumel, we’re excited to see the team play together and this will help give us some extra pre-season experience."

The Golden Eagles won the US Summit League Championship earlier this year.
They beats the Golden Grizzlies from Oakland University, Michigan, in the semis before winning 66-53 against IUPUI, Indiana, in the final.

In a separate event, Oakland's Golden Grizzlies will also be playing games in Cozumel in December 2008.
