American Airlines announced a "Caribbean And Mexico Autumn Airfare Sale", last week.
One-way flights from Denver to the island are as low as $167, plus taxes and fees.
Discount deals are available from many other US cities too.

Many routes fly via Miami using American Eagle - American Airlines' regional affiliate in the Caribbean. The offer is valid for travel September 2 through December 8, 2008.
Restrictions apply and there are only a limited number of discounted tickets, but if you act fast and are flexible with your dates, you could bag a great deal.

Continental and United Airlines also operate direct flights to the island from the US.
On top of those choices, USA3000 announced recently that they will start a new Detroit-Cozumel route in December 2008 too.

The number of international flight arrivals to Cozumel has stayed strong over the last year, according to figures from the airport operator ASUR.
