Weather update:

Tropical Storm Dolly passed to the north of the island and over the Mexican Yucatan coast last night.

Weather is cloudy but calm again now in Cozumel, with luck the sun will be out again tomorrow.

Cozumel Dolly
Good weather back soon.

Eduardo Esquer, manager at Cozumel beach club Playa Uvas, said the island woke with water on the streets and no cruise ships will arrive today, but tomorrow will be back to "business as usual".

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a federal US agency that monitors storms in the Caribbean, said in its report at 3am island time this morning that the storm was now on its way to the Gulf of Mexico.

They said it had maximum wind speeds of 50 mph (85 kmh) and was likely to give 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) of rain on the Yucatan Peninsula.
