Divers in Cozumel report that although some reefs are still dusted with sand, sea life is abundant and many new tunnels and swim-throughs are available to explore.

A recent report on scubadiving.com said, "some of the shallower reefs took it pretty hard and the damage is noticeable. The deeper reefs were less affected by the storm [...] tunnels and caves are all wide open, with new ones to explore."

The report concluded "Cozumel is still a wonderful place to dive and visit – call your travel agent and make reservations for your next trip!"
