Cozumel News - Riviera News
Aug 23, 2007
Many US based news sources published false information claiming that the Riviera Maya got hit hard by Hurricane Dean when in fact it never lost power, cable, or internet.

Other then a bit of wind and rain Playa del Carmen was calm.

Playa del Carmen after Dean
Playa del Carmen beach after Dean.

The beaches are still beautiful, the Caribbean Sea is still warm and crystal blue, and the laid back attitude of the area remains the same.

If you are planning a vacation to Cancun or Playa del Carmen and have already booked you trip; do not despair, everything remains the same!
