The US dollar may have had bumpy ride recently, but it has gained value rapidly against the Mexican peso this year. Data from Yahoo! Finance shows it almost reaching a 5 year high.
Don't worry if this all sounds baffling - those visiting need only know that a US dollar will buy 10 per cent more than it would at the beginning of the year - that means you're saving 10 per cent on everything!
Just remember to change your dollars in an exchange or bank to get the best value. Some businesses give an exchange rate of 10 pesos per dollar whereas an exchange will give you 11.3 pesos just now.
