Air Traffic Up 70 Per Cent |

Air passenger traffic at Cozumel airport was 70 per cent higher in March 2007 than in March 2006, ASUR, the airport operator, said today.
The biggest increase was seen in international flights, with 62,994 passengers arriving in March 2007, almost double the number in 2006.
ASUR said there has been a "substantial recovery" in traffic since damage was inflicted on the airport by storms in 2005.

The ASUR group also operates the airports in Cancun, Merida, Villahermosa, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Huatulco, Tapachula and Minatitlan.
They said air traffic was up overall in south-east Mexico by 22.6 per cent year-on-year.
