This new Margaritaville bar and restaurant opened at the end of March 2007.
The venue, which is busy with tourists day and night, is part of a chain owned by famous US singer-songwriter, Jimmy Buffett.
The air-conditioned party-themed bar and restaurant includes a decked terrace area overlooking the port. It also has a store, selling a range of Margaritaville merchandise.

Margaritaville Cozumel has 500 seats and sits directly on the Caribbean Sea. It has a tiki bar on the water's edge and a second floor view.
At night you can see the lights of Playa del Carmen. During the day the cruise ships dock a few hundred yards away.
The Margaritaville group also has locations in nearby Cancun, as well as Key West, New Orleans, Orlando, Charleston, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos and Grand Cayman.
