• 28 July 06: A high-tech, 10 camera security system has been installed on Cozumel's downtown pier at a cost of one million pesos ($91,000 US). Full story in Spanish.

• 01 August 06: An old disagreement is over between operators of Punta Langosta cruise ship pier and local authorities, and a new park will be constructed on one side of the complex. Full story in Spanish.
