First New Miami Flight Arrives |

The first flight on a new direct route from Miami landed in Cozumel last Friday.
Operated by American Eagle - American Airlines' regional affiliate in the Caribbean - the flights run daily, carrying up to 64 passengers.

The flights depart Miami at 12.55pm, arriving in Cozumel at 2.30pm local time. The plane then turns around and departs again from Cozumel at 3.15pm, to arrive back at Miami at 6.30pm local time.
Cozumel is American Eagle’s eighth destination in Mexico and its first to be served from Miami.
Pedro Fabregas, representative for the airline, said "This is the first nonstop service to connect the two cities, and it will allow travelers direct access to the great resorts and outdoor activities in Cozumel."
