Recyclable garbage collections have now started across the city in Cozumel.
Plastic, cardboard, bottles and cans can be separated from other trash and collected once a week. |
The new eco-initiative is part of the municipality's "I Want a Clean Cozumel" campaign, supported by 30 million pesos (US $2.8 million) from the Mexican federal enviroment agency.
