60% of the world's reefs are under heavy pressure from human activities and the international community needs to take measures to protect them.
That was the message from the 3rd International Tropical Marine Ecosystems Management Symposium (ITMEMS3) held in Cozumel last week.

The 5 day event, organised in conjunction with the island's Marine Park, was held at the Hotel Cozumeleņo Conference Center. It was attended by more than 300 participants from around the world, including reef management agencies, government leaders, global organisations and development programs.
