Cozumel Dune Buggy.
Your journey starts near downtown where you board your Cozumel dune buggy and get ready for a real adventure!
Your guide will give you a safety briefing and away you go to experience the beauty of the island.
San Gervasio ruins (morning tour only).
First stop is at the Mayan ruins at San Gervasio (morning tour only). Although smaller than many ruins on the mainland, this archaeological site has an unusually long history, beginning sometime around 100 BC and continuing as late as the 16th century.
Safe, fun, Dune Buggy vehicles.
Next you continue your drive all the way around the island through jungle interior and along stunning coastal road to the beautiful Punta Sur Eco Park, an ecological reserve on the island's southernmost tip.
Upon arrival you will visit El Caracol, a Mayan ruin which in the past, remarkably, was used as a weather warning system.
Punta Sur Park
Afterwards, look for crocodiles from an observation tower and discover the Colombia Lagoon which feeds and provides balance to the coral reef formations.
Before leaving Punta Sur you get to visit the 20th century lighthouse, which is still operational, with its maritime museum.
Look out for crocs!
Next, you're off to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean for a beginner's snorkel experience.
Great snorkeling with lots of marine life.
Certified guides will provide safety tips and instruction before leading you out to see the colorful tropical fish and delightful array of sea life Cozumel has to offer.
Amazing views at Punta Sur.
You will have leisure time to relax and sunbathe on the beach, snorkel and discover the magnificent marine life of Palancar Reef or swing on a hammock while enjoying the incomparable view of the Mexican Caribbean.
Relax on the beach.
Afterwards, enjoy a deliciously tasty Mexican style lunch including fajitas, rice, beans and tortilla chips at the ocean side restaurant.
Finally, the last stop on the way back is at El Cedral, Cozumel's very first settlement, revealing the fascinating history of Mayan culture.
Visit the small village of about 20 families and see the 150 year old church built next to a mystic ruin.
