Punta Sur Park, the nature reserve on Cozumel's southern tip, should be open for tours again in the next couple of weeks. The stunning but exposed ecological park drastically changed shape in places. The original sand entry road is unpassable, but work is going well to provide access via a different route.

The lighthouse and Mayan ruins still stand strong, migratory birds are returning and the crocodiles are safe in the lagoons. Now you can appreciate how the forces of nature work on the environment and see that Wilma was part of an evolutionary process. If you want to see nature in action, now is a great time to visit Punta Sur.
