Cozumel To Host Windsurfing Championship |

 Cozumel windsurfing. | | All eyes will be on wind forecasts, this week, as competitors get ready for the 2011 North American Windsurfing Championships.
Over 50 windsurfers from 10 countries around North and South America and the Caribbean are expected to take part in one of the biggest watersport events the island has seen.
The competition takes place at Mike's Beach Club, on the north west coast of Cozumel, from February 17 to 20. |
Organized by the Mexican Windsurfing Association in co-operation with the Mexican Sailing Federation, the championship is also sanctioned by the International Windsurfing Association.

An official opening ceremony will be held at 7pm on Thursday, February 17, 2011 in front of Cozumel City Hall.
The windsurf competition itself will take the form of 3 rounds starting at 10.30am on Friday and Saturday, and 9.30am on Sunday.

The proud winners will collect their prizes after the last round, at 3.30pm, also at Mike's Beach Club.
