With the competition for Carnival King and Queen already underway, the organizers of the 2011 Cozumel Carnival confirmed the full event program and artists, this week.
Performers at this year's island dance and music spectacular include top international latin music stars Yuri, Belinda, La Sonora Dinamita and Los Joao.
Yuri will be first to play at the Carnival King and Queen presentations on February 5.

The island's spectacular annual Mardis Gras has over 130 years of history and the week of main Carnival events concludes every year on 'Fat Tuesday' with dazzling technicolour processions along Cozumel's downtown seafront.
Colorful costumes abound with feathers and glitter flashing in the bright lights as loud Latin and Caribbean music booms out.
Events are included for Cozumel's youngsters, with their own Children's King and Queen being elected in a competition that is taken just as seriously as the adult version.

After the seafront extravaganzas, the music keeps playing and parties continue well into the night.

Costumed revellers battle in dancing competitions and bands play live music around the city.
This year, pre-Carnival events begin on Saturday, February 5 and the biggest seafront parades will be from Saturday, March 5, to "Fat" Tuesday, March 8.
