An increased proportion of cruise ship passengers have been arriving to the pier downtown, giving a boost to local art in the town's plaza and commercial heart.
Local artists like Galo Ramirez have been given permission to sell works on the plaza, spray-can artists impress tourists with their flame-throwing and a new exhibition Organic, by local artist Bernardo Porraz, has just opened for free at the Museum.
The youth dance group Danza Joven has also delighted visitors to the plaza with lively perfomances of folkloric dancing.
