Guest report on the regional motocross championship in Cozumel, last week, by Master A Class race winner and event co-organizer, Chris Wright.
It had been delayed 2 weeks, but finally it was race day.
Tropical rains had turned the track into a big pond.
To get it ready to race, I'd had to do a search and recovery snorkel for a pump's suction hose. |

The downtown seafront area of Cozumel will soon have free wifi internet for locals and tourists, announced the island's mayor, Aurelio Joaquín González, last month.
Mexican internet and telephone company, Telmex, has agreed to provide the infrastructure, which is expected to be ready by the end of the year.

Cozumel and the rest of Mexico will end Daylight Savings Time this weekend, a week ahead of the equivalent clock change in the United States and Canada.
This means, just for next week, Cozumel will be an extra hour behind, something visitors may find useful to know - especially those arriving on a cruise.
So, from October 30 to November 6, 2011, the island will be one hour behind CST and two hours behind EST.
